1. An Introduction to Brown and Penn (Monday, September 28)

We invite alumni to join Elisabeth O’Connell, Senior Associate Dean for International Admissions at the University of Pennsylvania, as she welcome parents and potential incoming students at the “Introduction to Brown and Penn” event.
Elisabeth will be joined by Panetha Theodosia Nychis Ott, Director of Admission, International Recruitment at Brown University.

2. Defending the MIT Beaver Cup Bowling cup (Saturday, October 3rd)

Calling all Penn/Wharton alumni and family to help us retain the Beaver Cup title! We are the reigning champions led by Captain Steve, our fearless leader and bowler par excellence, who will lead our troops into action, and help us reclaim our glory!
The MIT Club of Singapore is hosting the annual MIT Beaver Cup, a bowling event which promises to be a fun and friendly competition amongst the various alumni clubs of DUAL. Do come join us, either as a bowler or as a cheerleader :)

Venue: Singapore Island Country Club bowling alley (180 Island Club Road Singapore 578774 – Upper Thomson)
Date & Time: Sat, October 3rd 2014, 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Cost: $40/bowler; $15/non-bowler
Light food and soft drinks will be served from 3pm onwards, so non-bowlers are also welcome to come along to cheer on their teams, network or just catch up with old friends from the wider DUAL community. Do come dressed in your Penn/Wharton gear!

3. Annual General Meeting : Penn and Wharton Alumni Club of Singapore (Wednesday, 7-October)

All, it is that time of the year again to look back at the club’s activities in 2014/2015 and to vote on the club’s leadership for 2016 - please join us at the AGM on Wednesday 7 October 2015.

4. Wine Pairing Dinner College Bowl Trivia Night at the Culinary Institute of America (Saturday, November 7th)

Please join alumni from Columbia, Harvard and Stanford for a French wine-pairing three course dinner on Nov 7th, Saturday evening, at the Culinary Institute of America, one of the top cooking schools in the world. This venue was chosen as we would like to support the graduating students who will be cooking and serving for the event. The evening theme is Trivia night, and the Penn / Wharton club has reserved a table with 6 seats – so first come, first serve. The cost per person will be $150.
The net proceeds from this event will support Read Global’s campaign to rebuild their community centers in Nepal which were devastated by the recent earthquakes as well as provide programs for rural villagers to get back into their livelihoods after the disaster.

 

Venue: Culinary Institute of America, Temasek Polytechnic, 21 Tamipines Ave 1, Block 31 (West Gate entrance)
Time: Approx. 7-10pm. To be finalized.
Cost: $150/person
Parking: Plenty
Uber: Uber will be sponsoring the event and subsidizing $20/ride for new customers
